Two options will be available for selling your produce:
1. Growers manage their own stall, which they supervise for the duration of the market. Stall fees apply. These stalls will require their own public liability insurance. There is no obligation for you to hold your stall every week.
2. Growers can contribute their produce to a co-op style fruit and vegetable stall, which will be managed by volunteers throughout the duration of the market. A commission of 20% of sales will be taken to cover the ongoing management of the market. The grower will be required to have their produce available prior to the market starting, at which time it will be weighed in and labelled with your price. You do not have to be present during the market (although volunteers will be needed from time to time, so you may like to consider this). Payment for sales will be calculated at the conclusion of the market day, and distributed to the grower during the week. This co-op style may be more attractive to smaller growers who have a more sporadic supply of fruit and vegetables, or ‘backyard gardeners’ who may have an excess of produce from time to time.
